People don’t generally buy clothing at a garge sale unless it is vintage or retro or dress ups ! If you have things like that you could pile them up and make it a 50 cent fill a bag area. You can sell just about anything but just don’t price stuff too high if you really want it to go.
Some people love to bargain or be prepared to negotiate or take a price for a group of items. (eg $10 for the lot)
Make sure you lock your house (back and front) and don’t let people wander around as some people consider even garden ornaments fair game !
Be prepared for people to arrive much earlier than your advertised time (yes DO advertise!) and have lots of change handy in case people bring large notes.
Make sure you have more than one person selling – two of you is better. (That way you can get them to make coffee when it’s not busy too !) Good luck!

You have an idea of what you’ll sell. GIVE AWAY anything in questionable condition. Place this stuff at the BACK of your property so the good stuff must be seen on the way back. Place a sign at the front that you’re giving things at the back.
Price things inexpensively so they’ll sell. Base your prices on what you saw when you attended sales in your area.

probably not old socks or underwear, but definitely most types of clothing.

But then again, it doesn’t hurt you at all to put it out there and try to sell it. I say if you don’t want it, try to sell it.

There is no rule on prices either, but think about what you would pay for something if it was used. Garage sale shoppers are notorious bargain hunters and negotiators so you want to price it low enough that they will be interested, but with some room to negotiate.
