What is the best deal you’ve ever gotten at a garage sale?

EstherC asked:

I found a great $20.00 laptop computer at a Colorado moving sale. I also found a beautiful pair of genuine opal earrings for ten cents. Where, in your opinion, are the best places in the US for garage sales or flea markets?

My husband got a 5 CD disc changer that works great for only $5.00. I have gotten tons of great brand named baby clothes like brand new for a couple of bucks. In Michigan, there isn’t much to do until the weather is great, so lots of people have garage sales for about 6-7 months out of the year. They are very popular.

I once bought a book by William F. Buckley for 10 cents. When I got home and opened the book,His signature was on the third page. Once I finally started reading the book,I found 5-100 dollar bills placed neatly and randomly between pages. Now I go to the book table immediately!!!

MAIN THING THAT COMES TO ME IS A ANTIQUE GREEN BED FRAME THAT DATED BACK TO 1920′S BUT I DID NOT BY IT AT THE GARAGE SALE I REMOVED IT FROM THE TRASH NEXT DOOR TO A GARAGE SALE I WENT TO. HEHE.. I LOVE TO TRASH PICK.. THE ONLY REASON WE KNEW THE AGE OF THE BED WAS B/C IT WAS PRINTED ON THE BACK. I RESOLD IT AFTER REFINISHING IT FOR $450.00 NOT KNOWING WHAT I KNOW NOW IT IS WORTH OVER $2,000.00. YOUNG AND DUMB I GUESS
