Is it ok to have a garage sale in a green space of a neighborhood?
We want to have a garage sale but our house is down a little street. There is a green space at the front of the neighborhood with a fenced off area for a water retention pond. There is enough space to have a sale though. Will we get in trouble if we have it there? Is it illegal to have a garage sale in public green spaces? We are in Leon County, Florida.

i think it would be illigal.just put sighns up on trees and poles that you are having a garage sale and have arrows pointing to were it is going to be.thats what i am doing.
Technically, you need a permit to have a garage sale. This is not often enforced. Having it on public land would probably get you a ticket. All it would take is one neighbor to complain.
If you live in a neighborhood that requires you to pay fees for maintaining common areas, I would ask my neighbors if they minded. It might wind up being a neighborhood sale. On the other hand, there may be restrictions on using common areas for a sale. Check with your neighborhood association.
